Prepare to be amazed. Or at least entertained.
My name is Ray Flowers, and I am psyched to join the team at the hottest daily fantasy site DailyJoust.com. I look forward to regaling you with tales of my exploits as a child athlete (short form – I was a star in basketball and baseball), with stories of my weekend conquests at bars (it’s not true that bartenders hate it when you order a Long Island), oh, and some with excellent knowledge of the sporting world.
Before I get too thoroughly enthralled with myself, maybe it would be wise to tell you more about the pompous guy who is asking you to trust him for advice.
Name: Ray Flowers
Years in Fantasy Sports: 11 years
That’s right, I’m more than a decade into this fantasy game as a full-time writer. I’m not one of these guys who is a salesman during the day and then a fantasy guy at night when the kids have gone to bed. I’m a full-time fantasy guy, through and through. I live it, eat it, and breath it. Just ask around (one of my nicknames is The Hardest Working Man in Fantasy).
How did I get started in the world of Fantasy Sports? I would point you to two stories, One told in my words and the other for the Fantasy Sports Writers Association.
Radio Host: SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio
Website: BaseballGuys.com.
Twitter: @BaseballGuys.
I co-host The Drive, which is on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, Monday through Friday, 5-8 PM EDT. During the hockey season I also host SiriusXM Fantasy Hockey, Saturdays, 4-5 PM EDT. That’s right, I get paid to talk about fantasy sports (MLB, NHL, NFL), and the majority of the shows are spent answering callers queries about the fantasy game.
My home base is BaseballGuys.com. It’s where I espouse my thoughts on everything baseball related. You want to know what’s going in the world of fantasy baseball, that’s the place to be.
If you want to know what is happening minute to minute, or if you want to ask some lineup advice, you’ll want to visit my Twitter handle @BaseballGuys. Yes people I do sleep, though not much, and it’s only me answering all those questions. Prepare to be amazed.
OTHER AFFILIATIONS
I’ve written a weekly column for fantasy baseball, and for fantasy hockey, for SportsIllustrated.com for the past six years.
ACCOLADES
BaseballGuys.com was awarded the FSWA 2011 Best Baseball Series honor for excellence (the full story can be read above in my FSWA Profile).
I’ve also been invited to participate in LABR (the NL league) and TOUT WARS (the mixed league) this year.
The bottom line, without sounding to egotistical, is that I know my stuff. You have a question about NFL, MLB or NHL – I’ve got an answer for you (sorry, even my massive brain doesn’t have enough space for the NBA).
I look forward to doing my best to prove worthy of your time each week.
It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.
Vince Lombardi

For the love of god Ray, the pitchers name is Roy Halladay!, not Roy Holliday! Drives me nuts listening to you say it wrong every day. Other than that I highly enjoy the show though.
Steve-
I know his name, and how to spell it. Maybe I’m just a rube, but it sounds like I’m saying it right to me
Glad you enjoy the show.
