Jousters, we are introducing an exciting new survivor tournament format to daily fantasy sports just in time for baseball season, the $550 Prize King Richard Survivor Tournament!
Survivor Contests have become one of the most exciting contests at Daily Joust – now we are extending the experience to baseball. Don’t be surprised if you see more King Richard Survivor Tournaments in other sports and prize levels at Daily Joust in the future. King Richard (aka Richard the Lion-Hearted) was well-known for surviving numerous battles – good luck in surviving!
$550 King Richard Survivor Tournament Details
Single entry, MLB 50/50 Survivor Tournament. $20 entry fee for the first round, all other rounds are FREE. Five rounds, top half of finishers get round payout and qualify for next round. Payouts by each round are $5/15/30/55/120. Final round winner also gets a seat in $15k MLB Super Joust III Survivor Week in September and a shot at two seats to the 2012 World Series.
Only those Jousters that have won in the previous day’s King Richard contest are eligible to survive and play the next day/round. If a qualified Jouster fails to enter the designated King Richard contest on a given day, they will be considered eliminated from the tournament. It is the Jouster’s responsibility to enter teams in a timely fashion when they are eligible to do so, whether or not they receive any notification regarding eligibility from Daily Joust.
In the unlikely event of a tie (after application of normal Daily Joust tie breaking rules) for the win in all but the final round and the right to advance in the King Richard, those that tie for the lowest score that is eligible for a win slot will split the proceeds for the win and will advance to the next day’s 50/50 contest, though the number of Jousters who advance from that subsequent contest will not change.
In the unlikely event of a tie (after application of normal Daily Joust tie breaking rules) for the win in the final round, the winner will be determined by the highest total number of points scored by that Jouster’s King Richard lineups from the beginning of the tournament.
